Maintenance Technician III

Job Summary: Repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement.

                                   

 

Responsibilities:

· Performs electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs.· Calculates electrical loads.· Reviews plans, creates a materials list and cost estimation for future electrical requirements.· Installs electrical panels and associated circuits.· Troubleshoots and conducts periodic inspections to determine Maintenance work required.  · Follows Preventive maintenance instructions and ensure that the records for such are properly documented.· May perform or assist in the installation, relocation and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.  · May perform or assist in the repair and maintenance of support equipment that includes but is not limited to, air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water Systems.  ·· Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills Requirements:

· Must know single phase and 3 phase circuits and work with voltages up to 480 volts.· Be able to measure, bent and support EMT.· Be knowledgeable with tools and materials of the trade.· Repair lights of various voltages and service facility circuits throughout the buildings.· Must know how to use test meters to test for live circuits.

Education Requirements:

Technical certification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to stand and walk or otherwise traverse in order to be accessible to the production floor for extended periods of time.  The person in this position will be required to regularly exert at least 10 lbs. of force to push, pull or otherwise move objects and may be required to carry or lift objects up to 50 lbs.  The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and/or documents;  viewing a computer terminal; and/or visual inspection of products or machinery. The person in this position may need to occasionally sit, type, climb stairs, bend, reach, kneel, or twist for minimal periods of time.  Employees should not attempt to lift, pull or push a load in excess of 50 lbs. without assistance.  Care should always be taken when lifting, pushing or pulling in an awkward position.
